The new design Second Shenzen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital consist of three buildings, the Existing In-Patient Building to the north, the new Integrated Building to the west and the new Out-Patient Building to the south of the site. The complex is connected by a four storey Podium that connects the three buildings and a shared functional basement with two service floors and parking below. The building complex is entered from the East by a lush green park with Chinese landscape elements and a smaller garden to the North. The gardens featuring local trees, plants, large rocks, water elements and seating areas. The campus is for pedestrians only and all vehicle circulation across the campus is around the site or underground.

The main pedestrian access for the Out-Patient Building is from the South-East through a large park and plaza that features the 4-storey TCM cultural tower. Secondary pedestrian entries are for the New Integrated Building and the Existing In-Patient Building from the North. The emergency access for pedestrians is from the South and infectious patients from the South-East. Emergency access for ambulances and private cars is from the South-West. Loading and unloading for medical and general goods is from the East into lowered loading dock. Cars enter the building from the North. Taxis and drop-off zones for the hospital are located on the East of the site.
