This project called for the renovation of a 16-storey office corner building while largely retaining the building’s existing volume and its reinforced concrete structure built in the 1970s. Organizational forms such as combination, group, or cellular offices have now become necessary in modern office design. The newly developed scheme permits different sized units and a spacious entrance area. The interior spaces, along with the new façade, have produced a modern, attractive office surrounding. The ventilated curtain wall, composed of enameled glass panels with a triple window pane made of an aluminum frame allows for the outer disk to be pulled over the window cleverly masking the external frame. Thus, a continuous band of windows is produced without interruption by vertical post sections. The sun protection between the composite elements is supplied by electrically operated blinds. The horizontal emphasis is achieved by horizontal steel profiles that stretch along the room parapet.
